Circus: Clues and preventive measures
There are many sanitary, safeties, veterinary and communal conditions which must be reached to put a Circus tent in Town.

Safety
messures:
Cages and circus near environment (fences, tribines.. ) must be
secured from animal escape excesses.
Animal relating
issues:
-Circus must posses all Documents about Animals (origin, trade
documents /circuses & zoos trade animals/ passports,
history..)
-Needed Permits from Vets.

- Circuses travel around and can carry with them many diseases
trough their route they leave ugly scenes of urine puddles and
feces piles which then spread in grass-anyone can pick it up…

- that they have proper shelter, food and fresh water source;
- Animals must have overall good psychophysical state… etc..

- Permit for putting out the tents and use the communal areas and
communal green areas must be given from different communal

- legal permits can't be issued for communal areas renting under 5
years;
- all sanitary conditions must be meet before Circus can get permit
to use communal area for wild and domesticated animals, sanitary
and water conditions must be meet

- Circus can not use local dump boxes nor garbage cans for large

Animal
abuse
Many criminal laws
of states posses' parts which cover animal abuse
- there are codes like, 269 of criminal law of Serbia- which
protects animals and prevent abuse in form of penalty which goes up
to 3 years of prison for animal kill or abuse.
For example:
CIRCUS Corrona/Moscow/ touring trough Serbia HAD NOT MEET ANY OF
THOSE REQUIREMENTS.
There is a huge
chance that Circus that is not about to stop irritating

- DID NOT meet any of these requirements either
- check it out in your local communal services and check those
Criminal laws and City codes again
- maybe you missed something…
- when several loosen ends get tied together- there could be a big
ban(G) for Circus.

I support PORTUGUESE
animal rights association ANIMAL -and their comments against the
Circus who use animals instead of real human Artists and
performers.
It is realy sad to
see that NO ONE realy cares for this poor elephant and for other
animals - who worked whole their life under stress and
abuse. And for what? This kind of Circus is not fun anymore like it
was back then in time...

century already? How come that this kind of slavery still passes
without some larger and better text than this text which your
nespapers had edited.
I am not
totaly aware of Portugese laws- but I believe that this circus
did not accomplished all sanitary and health preventions that they
are OBLIGATED TO DO- as they are working with wild elephants
(its seeable from the first sight- circus near environment looks
depresed and dirty).
Also-
I would suggets to journalists and reporters of Lisboa Resident to
seek for veterinary documentation and other needed paprires and
documentations needed to keep wild animals. Also all documents
about origin of all animals in their "possesion". (mostly are
illegy traded- so circus owners do not posses needed papers), also
- the fence do not seems secure enough- are the security standards
have been meet? NO.
I
believe that this circus is braking city codes and acts... I would
like to see this investigated, so we can all know what is going on,
and who gave ilegal "permit" for something that is not done to the
standards.
Also I suggest that
"city acts" be read trough- as almost every city posses "do and
dont list"
I
believe that circus could not "pay" to rent the area to place
circus tents.. as mostly city do not give permits under 5
years under rent.. .also, there are many bad things that are left
behind circus, when they leave- all feces and urine and other
fecalie are left in the grass, and those puddles are spreading
viruses and bacterias.. so people with pet dogs can pick it up,
kids and others who strole on that grass are in danger too.
In addition, many
wild animals can harbor many diseases transmissible to humans,
including herpes B, pox viruses, measles, hepatitis, tuberculosis,
salmonella, ringworm, and other bacterial, viral, and fungal
infections. ….rabies.
The animals may be
confined for hours, even days, in their traveling cages. The
trainers use different training methods that are considered very
inhumane. Whips, spikes, hotshots and electric shock devices
are used to get the animals to do tricks that are unnatural for the
animals. Further to that, a circus with Animals is also
considered dangerous for the public.

will give You data which can be found in newspapers and on
internet)Between 1990 and 1999, there have been 47 persons who have
died as a result of wild animal attacks. In Argentina,
there are many such examples as the one from San Pedro, Province of
Buenos Aires, where two lions escaped where they hurt and killed
some people. In April 21, 2004, in Laferrere, a
tiger escaped from the Romanian Circus killing one worker
etc..
Exotic animals used
by the entertainment industry are typically torn from their mothers
before they're weaned; abused during training; regularly subjected
to overwhelming noise, crowds, and confusion; and forced to live in
cramped, unnatural environments.
Coronel Dorrego
traveling circus, attacked a 10 year old girl who got too close to
his cage. The bear bit her and two of her fingers had to be
amputated later.
This CIRCUS
(and every circus that uses animals in their programme)
is cruel and is not a humane and interactive way to have fun,
which children crave for, there are so many different options for
kids to have fun, to get into interactive games and trough those
games, tomorrow to grow up into humane being, worthy to be called
citizen of Portugal.
It is crutial for
good newspapers to get the true story. Please show that true
journalist are not extinced. Thank You.
