Peaceful
march in Nîmes
On Saturday 11th
September 2010, the Anti-Bullfighting Alliance will lead a peaceful
march in Nîmes, one of the most important capitals of bullfighting
in Europe, to raise public awareness, five days before the
Vendanges Festival (bullfighting festival).
In
2008, there were close to a thousand people participating in the

On
this day, we will be counting on your commitment to carry a banner
with an appropriate message, not just the logo of an association,
since we will not be there to promote ourselves, but to denounce,
with one voice, the cruelty of bullfighting events. See an example

In 2008, all
participating groups (except two) respected this request and this
gave our position more strength. One of the messages we could get
across is: “Say no to
UNESCO’s recognition of bullfighting!” We are open to any
suggestions or the possibility of joint
ventures.
This year, in order
to highlight our unity and determination, we will all march behind
the image of a bull with no caption. Individual banners will of
course also be carried, but always with a message instead of the
name of a movement in big letters, which is not reallty useful for
the cause....

Hemos numerosos cinco
dias antes de la feria de las vendimias en Nîmes, el
próximo 11 de septiembre.
Con la participación
de diversas asociaciones europeas, la Alianza Anticorrida organiza
una marcha pacífica, para sensibilizar al
público.
Un mensaje único
eficaz y sin equivoco:
« ¡No a las corridas de toros! ¡Pedimos la abolicion de los
especáculos bárbaros! »
La alianza ha fijado
la cita hacia las 14h delante de la estación para salir a las
15h00.
Esta accion es
capital. La presencia física de todos es determinante para que este
acontecimiento marque la historia de la lucha en contra de la
corrida de toros.
