Dear friends,
The
aficionados claim that there were 3,000 of them present in Arles in
April ! Let’s try to be as many or more to carry on in Nîmes next
September 13th for the Arles rice feria.
The Anticorrida Alliance, together with MPs and European
associations, is organizing a peaceful demonstration, like the big
demonstrations which took place between 1995 and 2003, to heighten
public awareness just five days before the Grape Harvest
feria.
We have just one message to get across that day, a simple, clear,
uncompromising message:
« No more bullfigfhts ! Abolish those barbarian exhibitions !
»
We will meet in front of the train station at 3PM and the march
will begin at 3:30 PM.
A lot is at stake. The physical presence of a maximum number of
people that day is essential if we are to make history in the
combat against bullfights.
We

can be printed and distributed or sent by e-mail. Give it or send
it to as many people as possible. On the day of the march we hope
you will have some banners or signs with a message which expresses
our united combat and not just the name of your association. This
assembly is not a place for each to promote its own group but to
denounce, together, the cruelty of the bull games (see examples
on
www.allianceanticorrida.fr/banderole-message-privilegie.pdf).
Out of respect for our inter-association code of ethics and to
avoid tensions, we ask you not to write down the names and
addresses of the participants or to have people sign any documents
that day.
In order to have our demonstration take place without any
unpleasant incidents which could harm the image of the anticorrida
movement and to avoid the risk of being banned (which has happened
recently), everyone must respect the instructions visible on

which will be handed out on the day.
Calm
and credibility are our best weapons. No slogans, posters,
photographs or pamphlets suggesting a personal attack on other
people will be tolerated.
