WORLD ANIMAL DAY – 4
TH OCTOBER 2007 – WHERE WILL YOU BE?

Please help us make this year the best yet.
Show the animals you care and be part of something special

Dear Friends

It’s wonderful that since the official World Animal Day website was launched in 2003, the number of events taking place throughout the world to heighten public awareness of animal issues has increased year upon year.  The aim of the World Animal Day website is to ensure the trend continues by encouraging everybody interested in animals throughout the world to use this special day to commemorate their love and respect for animals and celebrate our special relationship with the animal kingdom.

As your society is well respected, leading the way to improved animal welfare standards, we are calling on you to help unite the movement by getting involved in building the ‘World Animal Day’ initiative.  You can make a start by visiting www.worldanimalday.org.uk now.  You’ll find loads of ideas to inspire you and everything you need to help you organise a successful World Animal Day event.  And I mean ‘everything you need’ – it’s all there waiting for you!  Many of the ideas are relatively easy to organise, however, if you feel like being a bit more adventurous, you will also find ideas that require a little more time and effort - but with a few keen helpers on board anything is possible!  If you already have plans to hold a fundraising or educational event close to 4th October then you can easily transform this into a World Animal Day event.

Don’t forget the website features an event listing facility to provide free publicity to any group or individual who is doing something special connected with animals on or around 4th October.

Please help us spread the word by forwarding this email to anyone you know who might be interested in getting involved.  You can also help support World Animal Day by including information in a newsletter (logo available in ‘Resources’) and/or by creating a website link (full instructions for a number of different styles of link are available in ‘Resources’.

We look forward to hearing from you very soon and wish you continued success in your work to help the animals.

Show you care this World Animal Day – Get Involved

Kind regards
