Give them a home PLEASE
ibizencos they
are much softer and obedient.
Montse, the great defender of podencos in Ibiza
tells me the podencos ibizencos are like little sheep,
very humble, docile, most are fine with other dogs and cats,
she has 4 at home living with cats and other dogs, no
problem!
They are NOT dominant dogs and she has never had problems with
them!
Let us save these poor dogs!
Love,
Iris

Hello!
Very unfortunately these poor dogs are now at the dog pound, wheer
no doubt will be given to a hunter who will finish them off in no
time. I am trying to find them a foster home or private kennel but
even if I manage that, then what? These are podencos ibizencos,
they are in Ibiza, and there are no adopters for them in Spain!
Montse, who tries to stop cruelty to podencos on
the island says people keep talking about the greyhounds but they
forget the podencos, who suffer as much as them. I am also
quite in love with the the one you mention, in fact I am putting
his face on main page soon, he has the most symbolic Spanish doggie
face I have ever seen! Do you think we could start a campaign to
save these 3 doggies? About cats, these are ibizencos like I said,
they are not like the mainland podencos and they are much softer
and obedient. I´ll ask Montse what she thinks.
Bye for now,
Iris
A
hunter has come to the shelter in the middle of the night to leave
us a present: these three poor little souls who look like typical
hunting dogs: have never eaten anything except dry white
bread, have probably always lived in the dark and have only known
kicks and abuse...this has happened in Spain, where huge
numbers of podencos and greyhounds look like this, or much
worse. We should even have to thank this hunter, because instead of
shooting them, hanging them or kicking them to death he has chosen
to abandon them in front of the shelter's
gate...
