About using dithiocarb (Na-diethyldithiocarbamate) against
thalliumpoisoning
It should be noticed that it is not exactly known if the
used chelators meet all described properties. For instance
it is proven that the in most textbooks recommended
dithiocarb (Na-diethyldithiocarbamate) against thallium
poisoning drags the toxic agent to the brains by which the
remedy is worse than the disease.

Opgemerkt dient te worden dat kennelijk niet exact bekend
is of de chelatoren die in gebruik zijn aan alle beschreven
eigenschappen voldoen.
Zo is aangetoond dat het in de meeste handboeken nog steeds
aanbevolen dithiocarb (Na-diethyldithiocarbamaat) tegen
thalliumvergiftigingen de toxische stof naar de hersenen
versleept waardoor het middel erger wordt dan de kwaal.
