Nowadays a pet is seen as a member of the family and therefore
deserves a respectful treatment when he/she dies.
Animal crematorium "CREON STARLIGHT" makes it possible for your
beloved pet to go through this stage in the most dignified way. It
is our concern to pay special attention to it. We would like to be
helpful to you when you say farewell for the last time to your
beloved member of the family. We give you the possibility to keep
the best memories about your pet, so you can begin your mourning
time with peaceful feelings. Therefore we would like to keep in
mind your personal wishes.

When your pet dies, this happens usually at your home or the
veterinarian.
What do you have to do when you want your pet to be cremated?
Decease at the Veterinarian.
When you leave your deceased pet at the Veterinarian, you will have
to let the veterinarian know that the cremation is to be proceeded
by the animal crematorium "Creon Starlight". When you are unable,
or don't want to, to transport your pet to the crematorium "Creon
Starlight" yourself, we are able to pick him/she up at your
Veterinarian. You will have to make sure that the
identification/permission file is completely filled in and attached
to your pet. This is to avoid any mistakes!
You can also contact us yourself.
Decease at your home.
When your pet happens to die at your home, you can call us. When
you are unable, or don't want to, transport your pet yourself we
can pick your pet up with our special transport service from your
home. You will then fill in the identification/permission file and
attach it to your pet. This is to avoid any mistakes.
The Cremation.
At the crematorium you have the possibility to say farewell to your
pet. In a special room you have the possibility to say some last
words and eventually take some last pictures. The cremation can be
collective or individual.
Collective cremation means that your pet will be cremated with
other pets and that the ashes will be thrown all together at the
sea..
Individual cremation means that your pet will be cremated by
itself. You will have more possibilities. The ashes will be only
from your pet and will be put in an ash tin, for you to keep or
throw where you wish. The ashes can also be kept in an urn. You may
take the urn with you or it can be placed at the "tomb wall" or
"urn garden" at our animal-crematorium "Creon Starlight" at Castelo
da Nave.

For big animals such as: Donkey's, Pony's, Horses, Others. Prices
are given on consultation
There is the possibility to transport the animal still alive to our
stables, where you can say good-buy to your pet at your own
way.
If you would appreciate it you can be present when your animal is
put to eternal sleep, which will be accompanied by a veterinarian
doctor with who "animal crematorium Creon-Starlight" works
together. Your own veterinarian is also more than welcome.
We shall also discuss with you on the several options concerning
taking the ashes with you in an urn, having the ashes thrown at sea
or if you wish to throw the ashes yourself.
Our main concern is to do everything that is possible for you to
say good-buy to your beloved pet in a peaceful way leaving you with
a tranquilized feeling.
The animal crematorium "Creon Starlight" can arrange for your pet´s
ashes to be scattered at sea. A blue water yacht, sailed by a
professional skipper, will transport the ashes of your beloved pet
out to sear along the coast of Portugal. The ashes will be
scattered at sea thus completing a natural cycle. If your pet is
cremated individually then you may wish to attend the scattering of
ashes ceremony at sea. We can arrange for a maximum of 5 people to
be on board the blue water yacht to say a final farewell to your
pet. (Please note that for the scattering of ashes at sea from
collective cremations it is not possible for owner to be present.
However, the skipper will scatter the ashes at sea in a respectful
